ANIMAL ATTACK (SQUIRRELS MAYBE?)
Here's the Story!!!.
On Sunday, the 9th of June 2007
grandma set off bug-bombs in the house. I usually do this once a year, but since my
disability I have been homebound and rarely left the house for long enough to go to the
doctor. Four years later I am finally able to remain outside of the house long enough to let
the bug-bombs take effect. Gone for about an hour, I returned home and had to remain outside
the house longer. I went to the back yard and noticed 3 squirrels running from under the house quickly
up a tree. I could hear animals in the attic before and thought since bats got into the house one time
that it might just be bats I was hearing. I am having second thoughts about that now though because
after returning home, I noticed a big hole in the dormer of the upstairs bathroom. Oh My!!! It looks like
an animal attack!!! Well, this has to be fixed right away. Being late on Sunday evening I could reach
no one. So, Monday morning I started checking around for the cost of someone to repair this or for the cost
of the supplies needed to replace it. There were some contractors working in the breezeway and I even asked
them. No solution found. I called my daughter crying. I was so frusterated and rain was expected late
that evening or early morning. To my surprise, Lisa said she would come and fix it for me, and not to worry.
I got the supplies and still was a bit worried as no one in the family ever lived close enough to help me in cases
like this, and I knew the rain would end up in my bathroom making the problem worse. Lisa did show up like she
said she would and fixed the problem. Just after 11:30 at night, grandma's problem is fixed, and yes...my heart is
smiling again. What a relief to finally have family close enough to help me in an emergency. A very special thanks
to my baby girl for coming to my rescue.
