THE ROBIN'S NEST
Here's the Story!!!.
Well, it was about 5:00 in the late afternoon of the first of May, 2007. I had just finished doing some yardwork and
needed to clean up some items I had been using to caulk the shed so tomorrow's rain would not get into the shed.
I was alarmed when a bird quickly flew from the bush just under the living room window closest to the driveway.
I recall this bird flying out of the bush the same way when I walked past to check the mail a few days ago as well.
This time I decided to take a look into the bush and noticed a bird's nest. I peeked over the top of the nest and
found these four brightly colored eggs in the nest. Look's like I am going to have to move the hose to the back yard
so that I do not keep frightening this mother bird. However, I decided that my grandchildren and other friends visiting
this site might enjoy seeing my precious "find" and went right in the house to get the camera. I did not know the type
of bird and went out on the Internet and did some research. Check out the links below to find out more information about
robins and how to identify various wild birds.

You may not be able to see this, but the birdies are opening their mouths for food when you walk up to the nest.

The Birdies Have Flown the Nest!!! Mama's job is done here. First photos are of the empty nest. I noticed a string like
thing hanging from the bottom of the nest. you think that might be how they got out of the nest? Thanks for visiting. Visit Grandma Margaret's
